Raphael's Panel Liners and Custom Wrapped Mats can be priced accurately in FrameReady 8. These products are sold to the custom framer by the united inch (UI). The cost that is imported into FrameReady is a cost per UI (unlike matboard which has a cost per sheet). The Group that these products belong to is the Matboard. They function on a work order in same way a matboard does. Once the items have been imported to the Price Codes file the framer needs to set up a dedicated record in the Pricing options and Defaults section.
To do this, do the following:
1. Navigate to Price Codes file > Pricing options and Defaults > Matboard form view screen > Matboard Pricing tab.
2. Click Pricing Options and Defaults button.
3. Click on New Record at the top of the screen
A new blank record will be created at the bottom of the list.
4. A cursor should now be flashing in the Markup field.
Type in the markup you wish to charge (eg. 2, 2.5, 3, whatever you think is fair).
5. Click in the Set Price field and enter a set price.
The set price is an amount that is added to the calculated united inch price. You could also have a formula that caculates a minimum charge based of the UI cost. For example, Raphael's has a 24 UI minimum charge. Your formula then, for the set price, could be Cost * 24. That way your minimum cost will always be covered.
6. Click on the radio button beside United Inch (last circle or the 6th circle, not to be confused with United Inch Area, 1st circle).
Note: if you do not see a 6th circle, call SoftTouch Solutions support.
7. Click on the Default checkbox.
8. Click on the Matboard checkbox.
9. From the drop down list for Supplier select Raphaels_Panels or Raphaels_Mats.
10. Clicking on the Apply to Group button in order to apply this pricing option to the records in the Price Codes.
You will be asked to verify the formula.
11. Click Apply.
Note: Once this formula has been set up, it will be applied to any future imports.
