Cost of Goods (COG )

On the bottom left corner of the Work Order screen, you can get a quick visual check of the COG involved in this job. The COG is displayed in light grey font when FrameReady is opened with levels 2 to 4. A general rule is that the retail price displayed in the upper right hand section be 3 times the COG.

This display is also helpful if you are donating or discounting the frame job. It gives you a quick reference so that you know your profit margin and how much leeway you have.

A detailed report is available to determine the price breakdown on one or more work orders from the Work Orders file > Print Documents side bar button > Wholesale Costs button.

You can also see the retail price and wholesale cost in the Work Order Summary of Sales by Category Report.
