Guidelines

Install all of the FrameReady files on your fastest computer. This will be the Host computer. Always open FrameReady on this computer first.

Make sure that the FrameReady files are set for Multi-User.

Only one end-user can edit an individual record at any given time. Others can read that record, but no one can modify it until the current end-user finishes working and moves to another record.

You can share FrameReady files cross-platform, between Macintosh and Windows systems, just as you share files between computers on the same network but you may see differences in font mapping and alignment of layout objects.

Do not use Network Neighbourhood to share your FrameReady files on the host computer. This will slow the speed of both computers.

When working over a network, all FrameReady files are located on the Host computer only. All other computers access those files on the Host.
