What do I do when I see the "File cannot share because FileMaker network sharing is turned off" dialog box when I first open FrameReady?

What this means is that the FR files are set to multi-user. That is, the files may be shared over a network but the FMP application is not set up to share any files.

If it is your intention to share the files AND you have the appropriate licensing agreement with STS, then:

1. Click OK.

2. Click Main Menu > Set Up Data.

3. Click Network tab.

4. Click Set Files to Multi-user button and follow the on-screen prompts.

If it is not your intention to share the files, i.e. you are only using one computer:

1. Click OK.

2. Click Main Menu > Set Up Data.

3. Click Network tab.

4. Click Set Files to Single-user button and follow the on-screen prompts.

This will resolve the conflict.
