Using the Omit Find Feature
You can also do a find and then do a second request to omit certain records from your find. For example, in your Keywords you may have two items listed: Landscapes and Mail Not Active. You want to do a mailing to everyone who likes landscapes but you don’t want to mail to anyone who is marked Mail Not Active. Do the following:
1. Go to Contacts > Find.
2. Select Landscapes.
3. Choose Requests > Add New Request.
4. Choose View > Status toolbar.
The Status toolbar will appear on the top of the screen. Note the “Omit” field.
Tip: you can also select the Status Toolbar by clicking on the Status Toolbar button at the bottom left corner of the screen. It looks like this.
6. Click Omit.
7. Now select the item you want to omit from the find. In our example it is Mail Not Active.
8. Click Perform Find.
If you wish to do more than one Omit, you must remember to select Add New Request each time before selecting the next item.
