The Ranking feature is a powerful marketing tool. Use it to find your top paying customers. There are two ways to use the Ranking feature:
A. The first way is to simply click on Update Ranking. This will create a ranking based on all invoices ever created and present the ranking in a list view.
B. The second way is to create a ranking based on a date range. This option may prove to be far more useful than the former as illustrated below.
Go to Main Menu > Sales Reports.
Choose Summary Sales Sorted By: Customer.
Enter a range of dates (if you are using FrameReady Multi Site version you can specify for which store you wish to create the report).
Click Proceed.
A list of your customers will be displayed.
Click Continue to Print or Cancel.
The Update Customer Ranking dialog box appears asking whether or not you wish to apply the ranking > No or Yes?
Clicking No returns you to the Main Menu. Clicking Yes will apply the ranking to the records in the Contacts file.
Click Yes.
The Contacts file search feature will help you to help use the ranking to its best advantage. Here are two examples:
Example #1:
You want to find only 500 of your top customers in order to do a direct mail campaign.
1. Click Find > Ranking. Type in 1..500.![]()
2. Click Perform Find.
A list will be presented showing the results. Now you may sort and create labels for mailing, etc.
Example #2:
You want to find every one of your customers who has spent over $500 based on your ranking.
1. Click Find > Total based on Ranking. Type in >500.![]()
2. Click Perform Find.
A list will be presented showing the results. Now you may print the list or sort and create labels for mailing, etc.
