Main Menu Overview

The Main Menu is where you set up your basic business information and set default options for your Work Orders and Invoices. This screen is a good resting place for your program for daily operation; it displays no private or sensitive customer or shop pricing information. It contains short cuts to help you move quickly to all other areas of the program, find documents and create new records. Returning here lets other employees know that you are finished your task.

Main Menu

1. Use these eleven buttons to move to any FrameReady file without creating a new record. Clicking on an icon is like opening a file drawer, it takes you into the corresponding file and lets you see the last record anyone was viewing.

2. Today falls in week # is presented in case you want to create a sales report based on the week.

3. Each of the file icons are repeated in the colored blocks corresponding to that file. They perform the same function.

4. The large colored blocks correspond to the specific screen color in each file. The background screen color of the file corresponds to the color of the button, a good visual reminder.

The Price Check Button5. The Price Check button is a quick and easy way to give a customer a quote on the retail price per foot of any moulding. It is also available from Work Order > Scripts menu > Price Check.


6. The Update Vendor Pricing button is only available from the Main Menu. Automatic vendor pricing updates only can be done easily if you have a valid subscription with SoftTouch Solutions Inc. and internet service on your FrameReady computer.

7. The Login Account field shows under which account you are logged in, i.e. level1, level2... On FrameReady Multi site this field also shows the specific location, i.e. 1-level1, 2-level3, etc.

8. The Auto Zoom check box allows you to take advantage of higher screen resolutions so that the program will attempt to fill your entire screen. Simply click on the check box.

9. All underlined words are buttons which take you into the corresponding screens. Create Frame Order and Create Product Order are only available from the Main Menu. Sales Reports are accessible only from the Main Menu with the owner level account and password, level4.

10. Today's date and day of the week appears.

11. Set Up Data is only available from the Main Menu. It is where you set up your basic business information, address, import a logo, edit footnote disclaimers, set up networking and security.
